We’re both still here and doing fine. One of us is considerably less bothered by bed rest. Olivia Moonpie has started expanding into new areas of my belly for her wiggle sessions. An orange and moving from sitting up to lying down will almost guarantee internal gymnastics.
Now that the highest risk of infection has passed, we will be doing a sonogram tomorrow to check on the cervix. If it is holding up well, there is a good chance that I can go home and try to get a break from hospitals. I’d really like that.
So, I have reached the tipping point in this pregnancy. I am the most pregnant I have ever been. Sunday will increase Olivia Moonpie’s chances of survival to something like 65%.
The bands that were put in to help provide support for the hernia repair are causing me some not-insignificant pain. The edges of them are cutting into my skin a bit. I still have one more week to go before those can be removed. The middle of next week can NOT get here fast enough!
Sorry for the disjointed post. I’ve been interrupted three times for various things, including a reminder that if I want or need anything to just press the call button. Yeah, I figured that one out a while ago. All I really want is to be left alone for more than 45 minutes at a stretch. Sigh. Cross fingers for a decently long cervix tomorrow…I’d really like to see my house for a while.
