*I’ve made the post sticky so it stays at the top of the blog for a little while. I’d like it to be a place for anyone who decides to donate blood to be able to get a little recognition. New posts will be just below this one.*
So, if you took me up on my request and donated blood, whether for the first time or the fiftieth, feel free to post here! You deserve the recognition and you have my thanks. I hope neither Olivia Moonpie nor I will ever need blood products, but someone out there will, so it’s a very good thing that you do and we both are thankful for it.
And, trust me, I don’t hold it against anyone who doesn’t give! I have to have an anesthesiology nurse put in my IVs, my pulse rate was so high the last time I went to donate they turned me down, and I have passed out while donating before. I promise, I’m not gonna be hurt if you don’t want someone to put a needle in your arm and take a pint or if you can’t do it now. 🙂 It was just the first thing that popped into my head when people started asking what they could do to help me out.
(On a completely unrelated note… if you stare at the word “gave” for any length of time, it really stops looking and sounding like a word.)

Well thanks! It didn’t used to look and sound so odd. Want to know another word that looks and sounds odd? Gordon. Seriously, that name has always bothered me, feels strange in the mouth as you speak it.
There’s a blood drive tomorrow in the city where my husband grew up, and while there is no chance that our blood could ever get to people in your area, we’ll still go donate on Olivia’s behalf.
You take care of that precious princess, I know S will take care of you.
My love and huge hugs.
I am thinking of you and holding hope in my heart that Olivia Moonpie will see 28 weeks and beyond in that uterus of yours! (You both are fighters…so there is no reason why it can’t happen. You both will defy the odds–in only great ways from here on out!)
Thinking of you; hoping for an update soon! Take care!
You are doing just great. It pleases me that you and Olivia Moonpie have gotten through another day and another night. I am sending love. Holding you in the light as I am always rejected as a blood giver. Who needs more rejection.
Laughing always helps me out of the pit.
And music and just a touch of rose oil.
Have you seen the movie STRANGER. THAN FICTION? It is one of my favorites. I was struck by the feeling you have pretty much been hit by the bus and we are bringing you bavarian cream cookies.
Here is to a good day for you and Olivia Moonpie and your precious human lives.
I donated this morning!!!
All fingers and toes crossed for a cooperative-looking cervix today.
Thank you!
Thinking about you and hoping all is okay.
I can’t give blood right now. Pesky blood transfusions from a couple of months ago…
Thinking of you and Olivia MP! I pray all is well and your cervix is clamped like a champ. Sending you positive vibes and please tell OMP to hang tight for a long while!
