Everything is, for the most part, going just fine. I’m able to eat a full meal again, which is nice and I don’t have to go pee every ten minutes anymore. Hoorah for that! The cough is still hanging around, but it is noticeably better. Unfortunately, we’ve moved from cold season to allergy season, so I don’t know how much improvement I’m likely to see.
We got the results to the second part of our combined test today. Odds of Downs Syndrome dropped to 1:1006, Trisomy 18 dropped to over 1:10,000, and neural tube defects 1:6000.
I started having some aching in my lower back last night and woke up with it today. Then, a little later in the day I had some mild, sporadic cramping. No fluid leaking, and the pain is of a level that, under normal circumstances, I’d blow off as having slept wrong and general uterine crankiness. But these aren’t normal circumstances, so a phone call to the OB has gotten me today and tomorrow on full bedrest and I have an appointment for Wednesday morning. What is it about being ORDERED to spend the entire day on the couch that makes it seem like such a chore? I am not, at this point, terribly worried. The cramping is not entirely out of the ordinary and there are many reasons why my back could be sore. I think the fact that I wasn’t ordered to the hospital right away indicates that this is more than likely a non-event. So, we’ll keep a close eye on things and see how it goes.
Anybody want to come over tomorrow, watch bad daytime tv and play scrabble with me? 😉
