It’s funny that I blog, really. I’m not a very public person in real life. I tend to keep to myself. I’m not one to have personal phone conversations at work, unless I go out to my car first. I don’t generally share what’s going on in my brain with many people. Unless you look here. Here, I make the conscious decision to just get it all out. I don’t really write for an audience, so I’m always stunned when I look at my blog stats and see that there IS an audience. That puts me in a strange place. I believe that a writer has some responsibility to the audience, but I blog mostly for myself, but I chose a public forum in which to do so. It’s sort of a mobius strip thing or an Escher painting. You all keep coming back though, so I suppose I’ll just stick with what seems to be working.
Anyway, this is a lot of rambling and I did have a reason for posting. Apparently, Stacie at The Twinkies decided to give me this*.
Now, in the interest of full disclosure, she’s biased. Stacie and I are close friends, so her judgment may be impaired. She’s a woman of intelligence and taste, so I don’t think she’d give me this award if all I posted were pictures of my cats with stuff on their heads and lots of navel gazing writing, but she might be overlooking the fact that my writing is, well, let’s just say no one is going to give me a Nobel for literature anytime soon. I’m flattered, to say the least. Hopefully none of the people who click over here from her site leave wondering what the hell she was thinking.
Now, part of the honor here is that I get to share this with ten other bloggers. That’s my favorite part.
Without further ado, and in no particular order, it is my pleasure to award
Larisa of The Waiting Womb
Elizabeth of Prop Your Hips Up
Lisa of Option Adoption
DrownedGirl of Beaten but not bowed
Maria of Love Will Tear Us Apart
Gabrielle of Fertility Notes
In Search of Morning Sickness
Kami of Infertility Adventure
Cibele of So I wait for you
Dianne of Flutter of Hope
Now, they may go forth and award ten others with bloggy internet love.
*She also nominated Sweet Zoë because she loves me and she knows how I like to see people visit Zoë’s website even though I no longer have posts for it. I’m not going to nominate 10 blogs over there though. I am considering gradually evolving Sweet Zoë into a resource center for NICU parents, so I might list 10 sites that I have found helpful over these hard weeks. Or, I might just start a new site for that. Who knows what I’ll do. Lennox and Zoë have made me want to try to change the world in their names.
