So, obscure costumes “r” us around here. This is actually a costume I’ve wanted to make since I saw the movie Mirrormask in 2005, but this is the first year that Shannon and I have had no other responsibilities for Halloween other than ourselves. I’ve been sewing and modeling clay for a couple of weeks now. And yes, that is my hair in a real beehive. It took quite some time to comb all of those tangles back out.
If you haven’t seen Mirrormask and are a fan of movies like Labyrinth and Dark Crystal and even Pan’s Labyrinth (without the creep factor), you’d really like Mirrormask and then our costumes would make sense.
