Work sucks. If it didn’t fund my favorite hobby of fertility treatments, I’d quit today. Can anyone explain to me what the point is of trying to undermine co-workers in other departments? Don’t we all work for the same company?
Allergies+stuffy AND runny nose*still relatively new nose ring=not so much fun. The stuffy, runniness WOULD have to be on the side that’s pierced, wouldn’t it.
Three, possibly four, [...]

I am having a shitty day

That’s all there is to it. And it’s my blog and I’m gonna bitch about it.
I’m going through an intense bout of ”I hate my job” and a huge increase in the bullshit office politics isn’t helping. I’d go into details, but hey, I’ve read Dooce’s blog. Unfortunately, I’m the major earner of the family and probably wouldn’t find a job paying nearly as well any time [...]

Tonight is interview #1 with the first of three real estate agents about listing our house. I’m going to have to put on my thick skin, I’m afraid. I can already hear myself explaining why the third bedroom is so crowded you can’t open the door and why the backyard grass looks like it was [...]
Take that, baby dust!

I bought a Roomba! That should take care of any stray babydust.
That means I now have three different vacuum-type things for cleaning my floors. I may be certifiable now.
Hopefully, though, this will help keep the house a bit closer to tiptop shape for showings. We looked at a very promising house this past weekend, I’ve got an appointment to interview an agent for our [...]

Ok, so I was so excited to have finished this one, I forgot to take a picture. I had to get the recipient to photograph it for me. This is just a basic nine patch quilt. I had all of these really bright, colorful fabrics but not enough of any one of them to make [...]

So, Mel over at Stirrup Queens and Sperm Palace Jesters, is celebrating the first anniversary of her Friday Blog Roundup. As part of the festivities, many of us signed up to 1) have our blogs anonymously reviewed with an eye to selecting a post from the past year for recognition and 2) to anonymously review [...]

Well, it looks like S and I have decided to sell our house and move a bit closer to his new job. The job is a perfect fit for him, the commute not so much. He’s spending close to two hours each day driving, and some pending highway construction is just going to make that [...]

A while back, over at Ask Moxie, she reviewed a book called The Dangerous Book for Boys and then started a list of what would be included in a similar book for girls. It got me thinking.
Having spent most of my life tagging along after the “big boys” and rarely hosting tea parties, I [...]
Why, yes, I AM a bit crunchy.

I promise that someday this will return to being an infertility-type blog. Don’t worry, we haven’t given up on that particular project. Trust me.
We recently purchased a bokashi composter. This nifty little thing sits in the kitchen and collects all of our food scraps, as well as the unbleached coffee filters and the occasional paper towel. We throw a handful of [...]

I’m bored. I actually have a big project going on, but it’s very hush-hush right now. I hate having secrets. I’m not big on delayed satisfaction and always want to share RIGHT NOW. But, I promise, you’ll be the first to know as soon as I can spill it.
The most exciting thing I’ve got to report on is that my second batch of homemade yogurt [...]
